The review session is approximately 3 to 4 hours and will be conducted by Genaro Salinas in Spanish. The written certification exam will be conducted Thursday morning in Spanish. Registration for this program includes the CP-50(07): ACI Certification Tilt-up Supervisor and Technician Reference Guide in Spanish.
A Tilt-Up Supervisor is a person who has demonstrated proficiency in and an understanding of overall on-site administrative and technical management for producing tilt-up projects by passing the ACI written examination and meeting work experience requirements.
A Tilt-Up Technician is a person who has an understanding of overall on-site administrative and technical management for producing tilt-up projects by passing the ACI written examination, but who lacks sufficient work experience to qualify as a tilt-up supervisor.
Genaro Salinas is a graduate of the Civil Engineering Program at the Monterrey Institute of Technology in Monterrey, Mexico. He is a member of the American Concrete Institute, where he serves as a voting member of several of ACI’s Certification Committees. He is also a member and past President of the ACI El Paso Chapter. Throughout his career, Mr. Salinas has held positions in both industry and teaching roles. He has held leadership and technical positions with several cement and concrete related construction companies and suppliers, and also overseen teaching and professional development for groups including Asociacion de Ingenieros y Arquitectos de Cd, Juarez A.C. and the Mexican Institute of Cement and Concrete. (IMCYC). Mr. Salinas currently acts a concrete industry consultant and is a frequent trainer and examiner for the ACI Flatwork Finisher, Field Testing Technician, and Tilt-up Concrete certification programs.
