Nobody likes random cracks, especially in new concrete slabs on grade. In this presentation, you’ll learn what causes out-of-joint dry/thermal shrinkage cracks. More importantly, you’ll learn how to develop a crack control philosophy and design to minimize random cracking in slabs. Hear about concrete shrinkage and restraints, tensile stresses, designing and installing contraction joints. After this presentation, you’ll be better equipped to avoid and troubleshoot random cracking in slabs on grade.
