Slab Moisture Testing

by Bill Palmer, PE, FACI - Editor In Chief of Concrete Construction Magazine

Moisture in concrete slabs causes millions of dollars in damage to impermeable flooring each year. Understanding moisture and how to measure it can go a long way towards resolving the problems. Palmer will describe the basics of moisture in concrete and the various ways to test for moisture in concrete slabs and what the results really mean. He will also review the International Concrete Repair Institute’s certification program for concrete moisture testing technicians.

The monthly ACI lunch meetings are very well attended and typically sell out, so please register in advance. These meetings are a great opportunity to network, as well as to brush up on your technical knowledge. Check in begins at 11:30, followed by lunch and the presentation at noon. We work to get you back on the road by 1:00 pm.

Register on-line now. When you complete your on-line registration you will receive an emailed invoice and are then given the option of paying on-line or using the invoice to pay by check.
