Join us as we resume from our summer break to hear the latest economic forecast for our industry as presented by one of the leading economists in the country. Edward Sullivan is Chief Economist for the Portland Cement Association. As Chief Economist he directs all PCA’s forward assessments of the economy, cement consumption and the construction industry – for the U.S., Canada, and international. In January 2009, Wall Street Journal cited Ed as “one of the first economists to predict the current downturn”. Ed was named among the top 10 influencers in the concrete industry during 2008 by a major industry trade publication. He was also cited as one of the industry’s two most influential people by an international cement magazine. In two out of the last three years, Ed was named by the Chicago Federal Reserve as the most accurate forecaster regarding economic growth among 30 top economists.
