As the need and demand for more sustainable materials and construction methods increase, a gap conflict is growing. The traditional concrete design methodologies that have been used for almost a century, are now in a situation where they are being challenged by the new demands within the marketplace. This has created a conflict with the concrete design, supply, and contracting community. This presentation will explore those conflicts, the challenges and some solutions.
About the Speaker: Mr. Szecsy has worked internationally as a technical expert, former department head at a university and Business Development for a $4B ready mix and aggregates company. He is widely recognized as a national expert in the areas of concrete technologies, recycled materials, concrete construction and concrete sustainability and resiliency. He has a B.S. and M.S. in Civil Engineering from Texas A&M, a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering form the University of Illinois and an MBA from Our Lady of the Lake University. Registered as a professional engineer in TX, OK, AZ, AR, and LA.
